How to create a positive first impression that lasts
It takes less than 15 seconds for another person to form an impression of you, and if it's a negative one, almost forever to reverse it.
Learn how others form an image of you, and how you can enhance and develop the elements that are working well for you, as well as those that may need improvement or a simple change.
Participants will learn the ways that their physical image is conveyed through visual and verbal cues as well as how to assess and enhance their wardrobe, hair, body language, speech and other physical attributes. Julie will give expert tips on developing a positive professional image that will have a lasting impact — through letters, memos, e-mail, phone, face-to-face or impromptu conversations.
Mom was right — good manners aren't just for the table
Participants will examine how following business etiquette and protocol is crucial to success for an individual — and an organization. Participants will receive a refresher on decorum and conventional rules of conduct in business. Managers will learn how to give constructive feedback to employees and how to be positive role models that can change the entire office.
Julie will talk about best practices in communicating through electronic media, or "netiquette" (e-mail & IM, forums & blogs), when communicating by telephone, cell phone, conference call or voicemail, and in different forms of written correspondence.
This training also covers introducing and greeting people, handling gossip, impromptu conversations, meetings, listening, personal image, socializing and eating, and business ethics.
This seminar is appropriate for everyone – from administrative professionals and junior employees to managers and executives.
